Jimmy Mistry does not envisage The Parsi Resource Group as a one-man show far from it. Apart from his core team of accomplished and enthused Managing Committee members, he is looking for participation on various fronts from within the community. He concedes that, perhaps, all of this does sound a bit over-ambitious, but, then, he too is a self-made man who dared to dream big and today hopes to share those skills and vision with the rest of the community at large.

So join in, in whatever capacity you can, to help nurture this dream for the community:

Social Workers from across the community are requested to offer their assistance in any or all of the above listed three core areas, and come up with suggestions and schemes that could see the projects envisaged to fruition.

If you could donate money, time, or both, for a cause close to your heart, then Mistry assures you that it will be worth your while. He promises transparency, continuous updates, and, above all, action. "We do not want to take money upfront from anybody. As I see it, The Parsi Resource Group will not necessarily take money directly. Say, a young student wants to study abroad. We will check the proposal thoroughly and recommend it to a donor. Then he can sponsor the student personally. We are there just to assist and monitor the process at every stage," stresses Mistry.

Those who are keen to work with The Parsi Resource Group can send in their bio-datas, as a working staff is to be appointed at very attractive salaries - in addition to the satisfaction that could be earned by serving such a lofty cause.

If anybody can share their time, talent and expertise, they are more than welcome. All three areas will need a host of talents to sustain and show results. It is up to the individual concerned to come forward and volunteer the extent to which he/she can get involved and render assistance - which will most gratefully be received! Successful young professionals, who may never have done social work, are requested to come forward and help Parsi youth (in their areas of specialization) so that another generation of Parsi professionals and entrepreneurs can be created. The Parsi Resource Group holds weekly meetings on Saturdays at 6 p.m., and likeminded people are urged to pitch in.

The necessary application for registration as a Charitable Trust is in process with the Charity Commissioner and Income Tax Authorities.
