PRG was born out of a convergence
of a group of like-minded people who have taken initiative to chart a bright future
for the community. At PRG, we believe that the dreams of a brighter future are
better than dwelling on past glory. Nonjudgmental, creative and open to change,
the torchbearers strive to make the movement a way of life. The unique group combines
corporate acumen and strategic vision with a rare sensitivity. PRG,
which was founded on 27th December 2005 and unveiled on April 16, 2006, is now
a registered charitable trust under the Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950 (Registration
No SDO 1/833/2006). With a strong group of 1500 registered members all over India,
PRG is a committed movement. PRG’s initial focus is to urgently address 3 critical
issues: 1)
Inspire the youth
2) Restore the dignity of our Mobeds
3) Develop and implement programs that will
make our Agiaries self sufficient, thus strengthening the very foundations of
our community. | | |

| | PRG
has been founded by Jimmy Mistry, Principal Designer & Managing Director, Della
Tecnica Architects and Interior Designers. Jimmy has been active in Parsi community
service, fuelled by a burning desire to bring about positive changes that will
be effective and felt immediately as well as for generations to come.
Jimmy
adopted the Rustom Framna Agiary at Dadar and restored it. This project led to
the realization that the problems are rooted deeply and felt an intense need to
identify areas that needed immediate attention. With
this lead he inspired his friends, relatives, acquaintances and even strangers.
This finally cumulated to the formation of PRG. With
in-depth research, Jimmy zeroed in on a positive, result-oriented mission plan
as he firmly believes that there is no problem without a solution. PRG would provide
active service to the community with dedicated volunteers and a core-research
team of professionals. With transparency and full accountability as the foundations
of PRG, the organization aims to be an active, movement focused on the present,
unlike defunct trusts or trusts that lock up capital for several years.

The very basis of the
Organisation is no controversy, no camps. The Group is not part of any camp or
ideology, neither 'pro' or 'anti', and hopes to bring people from across all factions
of our community together to work for a common vision, which is helping our community
build a better tomorrow. The
three primary Gen-Next Parsi targets are further elaborated, as to what each one
of them would entail. The Group has already registered close to a 100 community
stalwarts from various fields. Come together and join the Parsi Resource Group
and help make a difference with an ambitious but achievable target for 2006. |
